Pierre Desir was born in Port au Prince Haiti, where he lived until 1994, when his family moved to Saint Louis, MO. 

 

In grade school, Pierre discovered a passion for team sports with basketball, soccer, and volleyball. After Pierre excelled in track and field, winning 6th place in the State Championships for long jump during his Freshman year, his friends convinced him to try out for the football team. Pierre received first team all-GAC south his Junior and Senior year. He was an all-metro selection, special teams player of the year, and ranked 17th in the nation by CSTV's Tom Lemming during his Senior year.

 

At Washburn University, Pierre was a first and second team all-American. After 2 years, Pierre transferred to Lindenwood University where he again was a first time All American twice, and a Cliff Harris Small School Defensive Player of the Year. In 2014, he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns- the first Lion to be taken in the NFL Draft . During his 8-year NFL career, in addition to the Cleveland Browns, Pierre played for the San Diego Chargers, Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

 

Pierre found that throughout his career, the continued relationship he had with his body through training built up his confidence, solidified his discipline, tested his perseverance, and expanded his personal growth. Pierre's dream is to build a gym that encourages others, no matter where they are with their fitness goals, to grow their mindset and realize that nothing is impossible with continued hard work and persistence. 

 

In 2022, Pierre Desir established Hustle and Heart Sports Performance, a functional gym based out of O'Fallon, Missouri.
